Like most of us looking to make money online, I tried to get all of the answers before I began to put out my offer. It was like learning everything about the lake, the boat, bait, and the fish before I ever put my line in the water. The truth is you don’t need to be an author to write a book. I overthought, over-researched, and overcomplicated the process. The best advice I have heard since I have been going through this process was by Frank Kern. He said most people make this too complicated. His advice was simple, “Find a hot market, listen to what people want and give it to them”
So I did most things that wasted time and money- I tried to go it alone, tried to re-create the wheel, didn’t listen to what people wanted… What I should have done, and what I am doing now is simple; I find what works, I follow people who have already been there and I follow their lead.
That is what I am recommending for you. Follow someone who has been there, done that, and bought the tee-shirt. I welcome you to join me on this journey and like the title of the blog, in the book, Catch me if you Can, Frank Abagnale Jr. was a student and when the instructor did not show up, he went to the podium and began teaching the college course. When he was arrested for being a con man, he was asked how he was able to teach a high-level course he simply said “I just stayed one chapter ahead of the students I was teaching”.
